We at Fujitsu have set forth a clear ambition to grow in the European Institutions (EI) segment. To support this strategic goal a dedicated team has been created. With full management support, senior professionals have been attracted to join us, resulting in a new enthusiastic and multicultural department composed of professionals with a background in the EI segment. This team consists of architects, account managers, sourcing specialists, delivery managers and proposal specialists with the mandate to manage the lifecycle of an opportunity going into contract.
To strengthen our capacity and to support the planned pipeline, we are looking for a (Senior) Bid Manager with EI experience to join us.
Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Bid Manager, you will be responsible for the full bid management process: from qualifying the deal and supporting in solution design, to the actual hand-over to Delivery. Together with Sales you will prepare and lead the decision-making for both on and off-pipeline opportunities. You will create a project plan and assemble a multidisciplinary team with technical presales consultants, architects, sales, legal and finance professionals. You facilitate the development of a winning strategy, and you coordinate and motivate the team to prepare a competitive offer.
The bids that you will be leading are larger framework contracts, often within the structure of a consortium (leader, member or subcontractor), and rallying Fujitsu entities to support the various selection criteria, define a solution and define the price strategy. We do have a partner landscape but are always willing to expand. During the bid process you will show your management skills to secure effectiveness and efficiency and to minimise risks. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders on multiple levels in the organisation as well as with partners.
* You will analyse and articulate to the bid team bid-specific customer demands and align the bid strategy and overall Fujitsu company strategy.
* You will identify, organise, and manage resources required for a specific bid with line management support.
* You will manage all proposal deliverables and authoring activities according to the project timelines and to a high standard including providing guidance, support and coaching to authors and other contributors.
* You will manage the team to identify and assess delivery and contractual risk and develop mitigation strategies.
* You will apply consistently company Bid Management methodologies. Furthermore, you will ensure transfer of knowledge; documents and communicate project results for re-use supporting development of the pre-sales communities of interest.
Your profile
As we are looking for an experienced person with relevant experience in complex EI tenders for at least 5 years. You have either worked in various consortia with a large share or have led consortia for this type of opportunities.
At a personal level you are pro-active, stress resistant, someone who strives to improve ways of working and has great communication skills. Proficiency in English is a must, having a similar level for French would be advantageous.
