The Role
Rydoo is looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing design team in Belgium (remote/hybrid, one day per week in Mechelen) and help shape both our product and our team culture.
As a Product Designer, you’ll help define the future of expense management across our web and mobile products. This role suits someone with strong interaction and visual design craft, solid front-end literacy, and a curiosity for automation and AI. You’ll actively contribute to Rydoo’s design system and collaborate closely with cross-functional squads.
Responsibilities
7. Own end-to-end design for a squad (Expense, Cards, Compliance, Automation & AI, or Mobile): from discovery and user flows to prototypes, polished UI, and engineer handoff.
8. Design efficient, intuitive flows that let employees spend anywhere and move fast—while giving finance teams real-time guardrails, automated compliance, and intelligent insights.
9. Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and other designers to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver high-quality experiences for finance teams and employees.
10. Build interactive prototypes (e.g., in Figma or via code) to communicate ideas and validate solutions.
11. Experiment with new tools and technologies, share learnings within the team, and contribute to rituals, principles, and culture as an early member of our growing design team.
12. Support or run user research and usability testing with customers (finance teams, employees, admins), turning insights into design decisions and improvements.
13. Partner with front-end and mobile engineers, using your understanding of HTML/CSS/JS or mobile UI patterns to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and accessible.
14. Create and refine components, patterns, and tokens in the Rydoo design system, ensuring consistency across web and mobile and partnering with front-end and mobile engineers on implementation details.
Requirements
15. 3–6 years of experience as a Product Designer, with experience shipping B2B SaaS or complex transactional products.
16. A portfolio demonstrating strong UX thinking, interaction design, and refined visual craft—ideally including workflow-heavy or data-rich interfaces.
17. Proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools, and comfort working with and contributing to a design system.
18. Good understanding of front-end principles (HTML/CSS, responsive layouts, component-based UI) and a willingness to tinker with code or prototypes.
19. A curious, collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
20. Strong communication skills, with confidence in presenting work, giving and receiving feedback, and collaborating within a squad setup.
