Then becoming our next Senior Developer might be your thing As NMBS- SNCB's IT company, YPTO is part of the Belgian Railway family making sure that the Belgian railways continue to move forward and that train passengers can travel in a modern and sustainable way.
The recently approved NMBS-SNCB « Rail Vision 2040 » has the ambitious goal to make sure that more people, companies & organizations choose the train as their preferred mobility tool. Not to forget, after all, rail being the most climate-friendly mode of public transport compared to other modes of public transport today.
Next to that, in a world of modern and sustainable mobility, new services and applications using digital technology are being implemented. Leading to increased and better information and communication to rail passengers and rail crew. Setting up diverse channels for purchasing tickets, a better monitoring of assets and further increase automating operational processes. Ultimately improving efficiency and service offering.
An ambitious goal that we're building and realizing: further digitalizing SNCB – NMBS, offering innovative solutions and enabling flexible services with a key focus on the end user.
As a senior developer you will work within the OPC team, which stands for Operational Planning and Competences management. You will be designated to the Business Area Competences management. This important pillar of the OPC department manages all the applications mainly dedicated for planning management of rolling stocks, train drivers & controllers.
Conformity criterias
•Minimum 8+ years of development experience in Microsoft technologies
•Minimum 5+ years of development experience in C#
•Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in seasonal ORMs like Entity framework, Linq2SQL or Drapper
•Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server relational databases
•Minimum 3+ years of development experience in Blazor
•Onsite presence (Belgium) 2 days a week
•Experience in Public Transport Sector
Evaluation criteria
Hard skills
•Proficient with writing REST APIs using Microsoft .Net Core Web API
•Expertise with GIT, its tools and its philosophy
•Strong in layered architecture implementation and knowledge of its applications
•Good with design patterns like CQRS, Repository, Unit of Work, Command & Singleton
•Able to write code respecting SOILD design principles
•Strong affinity with writing well-covered unit tests
•Application-level awareness of Azure PaaS services e-g where and when to use.
•Solid understating of CI/CD pipelines
•Very handy with Visual Studio 2022
•Experience with DevOps particularly Docker, AKS, Jenkins, YMAL
