We are seeking a seasoned Logistics Procurement Manager to join our team in Antwerp - Berchem, Belgium.
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of logistics service providers (LSPs) and be able to negotiate and implement strategies to meet cost and service commitments.
* Negotiate and implement LSPs strategies to meet the cost and service commitments/standards.
* Provide in-depth information on the LSP market within Odyssey and to its clients.
* Work with Operations and Carrier Management Specialists to implement carrier contracting and routing strategies within their client base.
This role requires strong negotiation skills, the ability to analyze complex data, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in logistics procurement and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementing logistics opportunities that lower costs or enhance service.
* Analyzing and designing logistics opportunities.
* Providing input specifications and review to Odyssey's IT application development.
* Maintaining a good working relationship with Odyssey's strategic supplier's management.
* Working with Director Logistics Procurement to develop and implement best practices and methods.
Requirements:
* Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Economics, or equivalent through experience.
* Languages: fluent in English. German and/or any other European language are an asset.
* Proficient in standard Microsoft applications and spreadsheets.
* Excellent data analysis skills using desktop computer tools and software.
* Significant industry experience and mastery in Logistics procurement and operations.
