Join the Safety & Compliance team at Sabena Engineering to supervise all safety and compliance matters across our civil aviation operational departments.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the compliance/safety management system activities, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
* Perform compliance/safety audits and issue associated reports, including monitoring the implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
* Act as the quality/safety point of contact for customers, internal departments and authorities (BCAA and foreign authorities), handling day‑to‑day operations and external audits/visits at all Sabena Engineering sites.
* Process external and internal occurrence reports.
* Perform internal safety investigations to derive safety recommendations for operational departments and follow up with production.
* Prepare training material and deliver training related to compliance and safety procedures.
* Monitor and assess regulatory changes and inform stakeholders.
* Support the maintenance of approved manuals, develop/review quality/safety procedures, recommendations and solutions in close cooperation with involved department representatives.
* Manage the publication of company‑approved documentation.
* Follow up on assigned compliance/safety KPIs.
* Participate in projects such as continuous improvement and regulatory scope extensions.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a compliance or safety environment.
* Knowledge of aviation regulations, specifically for a PART 145 environment.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and administrative skills.
* Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to maintain independence and objectivity.
* Process‑ and improvement‑oriented mindset.
* Dynamic, flexible attitude; passionate about aviation and eager to learn and grow.
* Fluency in English and French or Dutch with excellent communication skills.
