As an Analytics Engineer you will sit at the intersection of data engineering, analytics and business insight. Your primary mission is to turn raw data into well-structured, reliable and accessible data products that empower business users and decisionmakers. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional data pipelines, models and visualizations; Understand business needs and translate them into a technical solution : gather requirements from business stakeholders, understand their KPIs and information needs and design data products to meet these needs.
Data modelling: design and maintain analytical data models (e.g. dimensional models, data marts) to reflect business logic and support reporting/analysis.
Data transformation & pipelines : build, maintain and optimize data pipelines/ETL or ELT flows (SQL, Python, cloud-based data warehouse to extract, clean, transform and load data.
Data visualization & reporting : build dashboards/reports in BI tools (e.g. Collaboration with stakeholders : work with business and IT teams, to ensure data solutions meet real needs; act as bridge between technical and non-technical teams.
Data governance & quality : ensure data models and pipelines adhere to governance, documentation, and quality standards; implement data validation, testing, lineage and documentation of data flows.
Focus on data products: deliver usable, stable and well-documented data products (models, tables, dashboards) that business users can rely on; Experience with data modeling : understanding of dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas or equivalent
Working knowledge of Python is a plus
Experience with BI / data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards or reports that serve business needs
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, data warehouses and data lakehouses
Good business & data understanding: ability to work with stakeholders, translate business needs into data requirements, understand domain logic and deliver useful data products
Strong communication skills : able to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders; document data models, transformations, lineage and business logic clearly
Fluent in Dutch/French and English
