Project Manager, Digital Experience Platform (DXP) & Adobe AEM (Multilateral Defense Organization Focus)

About the Role
We're seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Project Manager to lead the implementation and management of critical Digital Experience Platform (DXP) projects for a Multilateral Defense Organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of complex digital initiatives, primarily leveraging Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, exceptional project leadership, and the ability to navigate the unique complexities of a multinational defense environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
* Lead, plan, and execute high-profile digital experience projects for the Organization, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Manage complex, large-scale system integration and technical architecture projects, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across diverse organizational systems.
* Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources using best-practice methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach).
* Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with technical and stakeholder teams.
* Maintain rigorous project documentation, including project charters, status reports, sprint reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Technical Expertise (DXP & AEM)
* Provide deep subject matter expertise and guidance on Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) architecture, strategy, and capabilities.
* Demonstrate extensive, hands-on experience in managing projects utilizing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), with specific focus on AEM Sites for content management and delivery, and AEM DAM (Digital Asset Management) for media workflow and governance.
* Bridge the gap between business requirements, technical architecture, and development teams to ensure solutions are strategically aligned and technically sound.
Stakeholder & Team Management
* Effectively manage communication and expectations with diverse, high-level multinational stakeholders across the Organization's bodies and partner nations.
* Lead and motivate multinational project teams (developers, analysts, UX/UI specialists, testers) in a geographically dispersed and collaborative environment.
* Handle complex stakeholder demands and adjusted timings typical of critical defense-sector projects, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout.
Required Qualifications
Experience
* A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing complex digital projects, with a significant focus on high-stakes, time-sensitive programs.
* Expertise in managing complex architecture and integration projects across multiple platforms (e.g., integrating DXP with CRM, identity management, or back-end services) is highly valued.
* Demonstrable deep experience leading implementation projects for major Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), specifically Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), encompassing both AEM Sites and AEM DAM.
* Proven track record of successfully managing projects for a large, complex organization; experience within a defense, government, or similar multilateral international organization is a significant advantage.
Skills & Attributes
* Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master) is highly desirable.
* Certification in Adobe Experience Manager Sites is highly valued.
* Expert proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project).
* Exceptional leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and organizational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, constantly evolving, and highly regulated environment.
Language & Location
* Proficiency in English is mandatory.
* Must be a current resident in Brussels or the near surrounding areas, or willing to relocate immediately. (we don't offer relocation support)
