🧩 We’re hiring a Backend Developer (Python/Django) to join a fast-growing healthtech scale-up building technology that directly impacts how healthcare is delivered at home.
This is a hands-on engineering role with strong ownership, focused on designing scalable backend systems powering real-world healthcare products.
* 💼 About the company: Mission-driven healthtech company in high-growth phase, combining technology, data, and care services to build next-generation home healthcare solutions. Product-led environment with multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Product, and Healthcare.
* 📍 Location: Barcelona (Full remote until June 2026 → then hybrid, 1 day/week onsite)
* Candidates MUST be based in Barcelona or near!
* 💰 Salary: Up to 62k base + up to 8k variable (depending on seniority)
🛠️ What you’ll do
* Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
* Develop and evolve APIs powering integrated healthcare platforms.
* Build scalable and reliable systems supporting real-time monitoring and predictive healthcare models.
* Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate complex workflows into technical solutions.
* Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
* Contribute to CI/CD processes and engineering best practices.
* Participate in architectural decisions and continuous platform evolution.
🎯 What we’re looking for
* 5+ years of backend development experience.
* Strong expertise in Python and Django.
* Experience designing and consuming APIs.
* Solid understanding of scalability, reliability, and backend architecture principles.
* Experience with CI/CD workflows and Git-based development.
* Comfortable working in Agile environments.
* Strong communication skills in Spanish and good English level.
* Ownership mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving
