Description of the company

Our client is an innovative player in the field of strategic cost optimization and procurement transformation. We offer consulting services and are also developing our own software products & solutions. Our clients include some well-known multinationals and are active in industries as diverse as FMCG, fashion, construction, agricultural supplies and industrial goods. Instead of the outdated, admin-heavy process work you typically see in Procurement, we focus on value creation.
In short: all the exciting stuff, none of the boring stuff.



Role & Responsibilities

Are you a true sales hunter with a strong existing network within larger SMEs and larger corporate organisations, a natural commercial drive, and a passion for building new business?
To support the growth of a young, ambitious start-up in the procurement & negotiation space, the Business Developer must take ownership of the full early-stage commercial journey. This isn’t a passive sales role — it’s entrepreneurial, proactive, and strategic.
. Build and Activate a Strong Lead Pipeline
5. Identify target companies (larger SMEs, specific verticals, decision-makers).
6. Leverage your existing network to open doors quickly.
7. Run structured outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, calls).
8. Qualify leads based on fit, budget, maturity, and pain points.
. Bring the Value Proposition to Life
9. Translate the offer into clear, compelling messages tailored to SMEs.
10. Adapt the pitch depending on sector, company size, and buying maturity.
. Manage the Sales Cycle End-to-End
11. Lead intro calls
12. Guide prospects through a ~-month sales cycle.
13. Handle objections, explain ROI, and position the service as a strategic enabler.
14. Maintain momentum and follow-ups.

Candidate Profile

15. You have a background in consulting, financial products, or selling complex services
16. You are Comfortable approaching and engaging with the C-level of larger SMEs and larger corporate organisations.
17. You have a strong existing network in larger SMEs
18. You have a demonstrated success in generating new business
19. You are performance driven and eager to work comission-based
