Your Mission As a Category Associate/Manager, you will be responsible for a specific area of R&D outsourced activities, with a primary focus on Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Medical Affairs. You will partner with R&D stakeholders to develop and execute best-in-class sourcing strategies, manage key supplier relationships, and deliver significant value through expert commercial negotiations. This is a hands-on role for a procurement expert who thrives in a scientific environment and wants to make a tangible impact on R&D initiatives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing: Contribute to and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies for your category, ensuring alignment with global procurement goals. Supplier Management: Proactively manage the supplier base, building strong partnerships with strategic vendors to drive quality, innovation, and value. Negotiation & Contracting: Lead commercial negotiations and draft Master Service Agreements (MSAs), leveraging your expertise to secure the best terms for the business. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, assess, and analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and inform strategic decisions. You will also manage administrative tasks like updating trackers and generating reports. Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to internal R&D stakeholders, providing market intelligence and guidance on procurement processes and best practices. Compliance & Ethics: Champion ethical conduct and ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, including GXP guidelines for R&D. Who You Are: We are looking for a proactive and skilled procurement professional with a strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry. Essential Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience Mandatory experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a good understanding of the R&D environment and GXP practices. Strong expertise in procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and complex contract negotiations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Fluency in both English and French is required. A Master's Degree is highly preferred. Flexibility: We are open to two types of profiles: procurement experts with initial experience in the pharma sector, or candidates with a strong pharma/clinical background who have developed proven procurement and negotiation skills.
