As a DevOps/Linux System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and improving cPanel environments across our infrastructure.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot cPanel servers to ensure high availability and performance.
2. Plan, execute, and automate migrations between hosting platforms with minimal downtime and disruption for users.
3. Develop and implement scripts and tools to automate recurring tasks, migrations, and operational processes.
4. Monitor and address vulnerabilities, ensuring that all cPanel environments are secure and compliant with industry standards.
5. Analyze server performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
6. Work closely with support, development, and infrastructure teams to align cPanel configurations with business and technical needs.
7. Plan and execute cPanel upgrades, new installations, and deployments across various environments.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
Requirements
* Strong Linux skills: Proficiency in Linux server administration (preferably CentOS, AlmaLinux or similar distributions).
* cPanel/WHM: Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cPanel (or similar control panels) environments is a plus.
* Scripting Knowledge: Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and task management.
* Configuration management: Strong experience with Ansible, Puppet or Chef for configuration management and automation.
* Migration Expertise: Proven ability to plan, execute, and automate migrations between hosting platforms, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption.
* Networking Expertise: Understanding of DNS, email protocols, and server configurations within a hosting environment.
* Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy troubleshooting complex issues and finding innovative solutions.
* Security Awareness: Knowledge of best practices for securing web hosting environments.
* Customer Focus: A passion for delivering high-quality hosting experiences and solving user issues efficiently.
