About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application / Cloud Architect to join a high-impact digital transformation program within European Institutions.
You will contribute to the design, evolution, and operation of large-scale corporate information systems, working in close collaboration with international stakeholders, technical teams, and business users.
This role offers long-term stability, technical challenges, and the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems supporting EU policies and services.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise application architectures
Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot complex application platforms
Define and implement technical architecture components and building blocks
Integrate heterogeneous systems and platforms
Perform system architecture reviews and propose improvements
Coordinate technical implementation across multiple teams
Produce high-quality technical documentation and architecture designs
Participate in technical workshops, project meetings, and stakeholder sessions
Support testing, deployment, and production activities
Act as technical interface between architects, developers, and project managers
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture and development
Strong expertise in:
Java / JEE
Angular
Middleware platforms (WebLogic or similar JEE containers)
Solid experience with:
Messaging systems (Kafka, JMS)
System integration & microservices
Architecture design patterns and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and as part of an international team
Nice to Have
Experience with Oracle Middleware
Knowledge of Akoma Ntoso XML standards
ITIL or relevant middleware certifications
Experience in large-scale public sector or enterprise environments
French language skills
