Job Purpose
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Opens door and greets as they enter and leave the hotel
2. Assists guests with carrying luggage during check-in and check-out. Safely and promptly delivers to and picks up luggage from guest rooms
3. Tags and places guest luggage in storage at guest request. Retrieves luggage for guests from storage
4. Explain and promote hotel facilities, outlets, guest room features and services to guest and provide in-formation to guest regarding local attractions and activities
5. Assists guests with transportation by getting taxis or arranging car services. Opens car and taxi doors for guests
6. Parks and retrieves cars from valet parking. Communicates all guest valet information to Guest Service Agent
7. Occasionally runs errands for guests and delivers items to guest rooms
Required skills and Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
8. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing X kilos without assistance
9. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
10. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
11. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
12. Remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
In addition to this, you may also have:
13. Proven background in a customer-facing role, ideally in a 'lifestyle' or boutique hotel or similar hospitality venue.
14. Flexibility with working hours, including shifts, evenings, nights, and weekends.
15. Great attention to detail
16. Fluency in French and/or Dutch in addition to English is preferred for this role
17. Highly social, motivated, and proactive; professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
18. Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume, high-energy environment.
19. During the pre-opening period you will need to have a flexible approach to working hours, which may include some late finishes and weekends as we prepare the hotel for opening.
