We are seeking a BIM Data Expert (Freelance) for a 12-month project in Brussels with our client. This is your opportunity to drive the digital transformation of infrastructure projects, shaping the future of data-driven construction and asset management.

As a BIM Data Expert, you will be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. Your work will empower project managers, site leaders, and regional teams to adopt a data-driven approach, ensuring seamless project delivery and operational excellence. The impact? What You'll Be Doing
* Supervise and support ongoing BIM projects, guiding teams through the full lifecycle of design and implementation.
* Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and site meetings, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
* Assist in drafting project specifications and developing tailored BIM implementation plans.
* Provide expert BIM input for service orders and update internal standards, protocols, and guidelines.
* Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions for colleagues, contractors, and clients using a train-the-trainer approach.
* Analyze and operationalize end-to-end BIM processes, providing technical input for innovative solutions.
* Act as a key member of the BIM knowledge center, driving continuous improvement and best practices.
* Support the adoption of BIM tools and methodologies across regional departments and field teams.
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrable experience in optimizing and tuning databases and queries (minimum 3 years, intermediate level).
* Proven ability to analyze data flows and data streams (minimum 3 years, intermediate level).
* Hands-on experience with reporting and data visualization.
* Strong scripting skills, including Python (required), as well as Shell and Perl.
* Experience with databases such as SQL and Oracle.
* Initial knowledge of data and process modeling techniques and tools (at least 6 months).
* Exposure to AIM/BIM projects (at least 3 months).
* Familiarity with GIS applications and road construction projects (at least 6 months each).
* Project-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering solution-driven results.
* Pragmatic, practical, communicative, and customer-focused approach.
* Ability to share knowledge and upskill others, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Language Proficiency
* Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is required.
