Trade Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to oversee daily banking transactions in various departments, particularly Trade Finance. The ideal candidate will interact with banks, agents/brokers, and clients across different geographies, mainly India.


Key Responsibilities:

* Handle daily banking transactions in various departments, especially Trade Finance.
* Interact with Banks, Agents/Brokers and clients in other geographies mainly India.
* Scrutinize trade documents.
* Prepare calculation sheets, discounting memorandums, SWIFT messages.
* Scrutinize swift messages.
* Lodge export/import bills, open letter of credit/bank guarantee, lien marking, bill discounting, buyers credit.
* Follow up on transactions.
* Post transactions in Finacle and TIPlus.
* Attend customer calls (personal/telephone calls).
* Maintain data base in MS Excel sheet.
* Filing of papers and documents.
* Perform any other job/tasks entrusted by the manager/chief executive officer.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Negotiation, discounting & purchase of documentary credits.
* Bank guarantees.
* Rules & regulations regarding trade credits in Belgium.
* Banking operations.
* MS Excel, MS Word etc.


Skills and Abilities:

* Document scrutiny.
* Eye for details.
* Working on IT/technology related projects.
* Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
* Attend meetings and contribute to team efforts by ensuring all relevant information is included in the outcomes.
* Implement changes to standard procedures when required by specific situations and circumstances.
* Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels to accomplish objectives.
* Explain or clarify financial information to all levels of management.
* Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
* Provide a high level of customer service.
* Good inter-personnel abilities.
* Fluency in English and basic knowledge of Dutch or French.
