Job Summary
The Credit Controller ensures accurate processing of payments, timely cash collection, and assesses credit risks for customers and suppliers. They evaluate credit histories and recommend approval or disapproval of credit limit changes to management.
To support the Credit Control team, we are seeking a temporary replacement for a colleague on six-month maternity leave. The ideal candidate can start in early July for a smooth handover.
Job Responsibilities
1. Process in- & outgoing payments correctly and timely including netting;
2. Manage timely cash collection incl. problem solving;
3. Block and release of customer orders;
4. Assess credit risk (credit limit, control L/C, bank guarantees, etc.) as well as manage the uncovered risk for both customers and suppliers;
5. Contact with customer/customer service to ensure timely collection and solving dispute;
6. Contact with local sales rep to discuss customers with overdue, own risk, …;
7. Create the monthly required reports for A/R and credit control;
8. Ensure compliance / execute SOX controls – monthly reconciliation of A/R accounts, update of policies & procedures, etc.;
9. Assist in monthly close;
10. Maintain a filing system for all financial documents.
Profile Description
Ideally you have:
11. a Master's or Bachelor's degree in accountancy or equivalent through experience;
12. Experience in finance domain preferably in A/R, credit control or customer service;
13. Experience in SAP (SD & FI) is an asset;
14. Good understanding of end to end OTC process;
15. Pro-active attitude, accuracy and strong communication skills are a must;
16. Good working knowledge of English (written and spoken). Other languages can be an advantage.
