Job description
1. Support in training different transport operations across the business unit CGI
2. Define future improvements with the transport operation that you are supporting
3. Optimize working instructions for the team(s) you are supporting
4. Act as a main knowledge center/dedicated person for the daily transport operations
5. Handle manual order entry / handle and draw up transport/customs documents
6. Respond to customer requests
7. Respond to operational requests
8. Align with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks via Track & Trace Tools, customer made files, …
9. Update internal Track & Trace tools and send to customer on a daily basis
10. Update KPI files
11. Respond to/Select ad hoc transports, carriers, considering quality and costs
12. Arrange return shipments
13. In time reporting of escalations to Transport Manager
14. Assist in monthly operational review meetings with carriers
15. Discuss with the central transport team how to improve the quality of our local transport teams
16. Flexibility and working ‘on the fly’ is key as you will be active in operations that need support in case of absence, sickness, high volumes, …
17. Communication between customer, carrier & operation will be an important part of the job.
Your profile
18. Minimum bachelor diploma or equal by experience
19. Experience in a logistical environment
20. Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus
21. Strong analytical skills
22. Basic knowledge of customs and incoterms
23. Thorough knowledge of MS Office: Excel
24. Thorough knowledge of WMS & TMS
25. Willing to travel
