About the Role
We are seeking a Data Coordinator (Freelance) for a 12-month project in Melle, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming the water management landscape for our client. Your mission: bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring the integrity and quality of critical asset and GIS data. Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and implementation of an Asset Register (AR) and Geographic Information System (GIS) for the water management domain.
* Coordinate and execute data migration and data cleaning from legacy systems to a new architecture, ensuring high data quality throughout.
* Integrate new data solutions within the broader application landscape and architecture of our client.
* Act as the central bridge between project teams, business stakeholders, and field operations to drive data quality improvements.
* Develop, communicate, and execute a strategic plan to structurally enhance data quality, securing buy-in across the organization.
* Negotiate agreements, define clear goals, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned and committed.
* Monitor progress, report on outcomes, and proactively adjust plans to achieve quality objectives.
* Facilitate change management, motivate teams, and turn resistance into collaboration.
* Present data insights, responsibilities, and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate within the Futureflow project cluster and contribute to continuous process optimization.
Technical Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a business analyst in large enterprise environments (minimum 3 years, medior level).
* Demonstrated expertise in project planning, organization, and coordination.
* Strong background in change management and stakeholder management.
* Hands-on experience with data cleaning and structural data quality improvement.
* Track record of coordinating assigned projects from start to finish (minimum 3 years, medior level).
* Experience in developing and optimizing business processes.
* Direct involvement in data migration projects (should have).
* Experience in the water sector (drinking or wastewater) is a plus (should have, minimum 1 year, junior level).
* Familiarity with asset management practices (should have).
* Master's degree required.
* Pragmatic, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Structured, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
* Proven ability to build trust, motivate teams, and drive collaboration.
Language Proficiency
* Fluent Dutch (CEFR C2) is mandatory for both written and spoken communication.
Other Requirements
* Full-time freelance assignment (220 days), with the possibility of extension (12 months).
* Flexibility to work on-site in Melle and occasionally at other locations as required by project activities.
* Remote work is possible in consultation with the team lead, but not guaranteed.
