Senior Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer
Company: BBST - Brazil. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join our Boeing Commercial Aircraft engineering global team in Brazil. The candidate will support the certification of large aircraft and demonstrate compliance with regulatory and customer requirements as defined in the company’s Design Organization Handbook (DOH).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and validate requirements for communication, sensor, electronic equipment and other electromagnetic‑related systems and components.
* Develop and evaluate electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
* Develop architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher‑level systems and platforms.
* Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other analyses to predict component, interconnect and system performance and to optimize design.
* Define and conduct tests to validate design performance against requirements.
* Manage supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
* Provide guidance and support to resolve complex issues throughout product lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use.
* Support project management by coordinating development of work statements, budget, schedule and conducting reviews.
* Write sections of proposals to support new business development.
Work Arrangement
This position is hybrid/telecommuting, with onsite work required at one of the listed locations as discretion of the hiring team.
Basic Qualifications
* Existing legal rights to work in Brazil.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
* Fluent in written and verbal English.
* Registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA).
* In-depth experience on aircraft development programs and electromagnetic effects on aircraft.
* Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Preferred Qualifications
* In‑depth experience as a FAA Compliance Verification Engineer relevant to Electrical Systems and/or Avionic Systems disciplines.
* Experience with FAA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO FAR‑25 (magnetic effects discipline).
* Experience with FAA Part21 Design Organization (or equivalent).
* Experience reviewing design with emphasis on electrical systems (connectivity, antennae, electric loads, electronic equipment qualification per DO‑160, ARP5583A, ARP5415B, ARP60493).
* Experience in requirements management per ARP4754A or similar, and related computer‑aided tools.
* Experience with safety management per ARP4761 or similar.
* Experience with environmental effects related to magnetic threats such as high‑intensity radiated fields (HIRF), lightning direct and indirect effects, and precipitation static.

Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility. The position is for a locally hired role in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll. Applications are accepted through June8,2026. Security clearance is not required.
