We are looking for an User Researcher to join our dynamic team.
The User Researcher will provide expert user research services and work in close collaboration with an internal user research team within a European institution.
Responsibilities
Familiarising themselves with existing user profiles/personas, analytics tools, and the institution's digital and data product portfolio
Establishing a high-level mapping between user profiles and existing products, identifying key products, niche products, overlaps, and gaps
Analysing selected production units' product portfolios using user profiles, analytics data, and available user feedback
Synthesising qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable findings
Developing evidence-based, actionable recommendations to streamline, optimise, or reduce product portfolios
Structuring recommendations into phased implementation stages (from quick wins to more impactful long-term changes)
Preparing and delivering clear, engaging, and convincing presentations to organisational units
Facilitating discussions, responding to counter-arguments, and defending recommendations using solid reasoning
Supporting production units after presentations through follow-up discussions and consultative guidance
Contributing to knowledge sharing through explanations of key aspects of the work to diverse audiences
Technical skills:
Strong expertise in user research methodologies, including persona and user profile development
Proven ability to analyse and synthesise research data into actionable insights
Experience working with web and product analytics tools (e.g. institutional analytics tools or similar)
Solid understanding of UI / UX design principles and their application in digital product
Ability to apply user insights to product strategy, service design, and product development
Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, including the creation of clear and compelling slide decks
Experience facilitating workshops, training sessions, and collaborative working sessions
Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
Ability to document work clearly, concisely, and efficiently
Profile
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in user research, UX research, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in developing user profiles/personas based on research data
Proven track record of successfully applying user profiles/personas in a business or institutional context
Experience incorporating user insights into product strategy, design, and development processes
Experience providing consultative support and guidance to multidisciplinary teams
Good knowledge of working with analytics data to assess product performance and user behaviour
Basic understanding of complex data ecosystems, with a strong willingness to learn and continuously improve
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Strong ability to communicate with and write for different audiences
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills
Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset
Strong team spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
