Part-time school secretary for the principal’s office

The role

requires excellent administrative, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost discretion. This position is ideal for a reliable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support to the Principal’s Office
2. Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative assistance to the Principal.
3. Manage correspondence, draft letters, emails, and internal memos in English and Dutch.
4. Maintain filing systems and ensure documentation is properly organised and accessible.
5. Maintain an up-to-date school calendar and support planning of events led by the Principal’s Office.
6. Help prepare reports and other key documents for leadership and external bodies.
7. Support communication between the Principal’s Office and staff, parents, students, and visitors.
8. Backup Support to the PA/Clerk to the Board
9. Provide administrative cover for the PA to the Principal during absences or high-demand periods.
10. Assist with the logistical and administrative preparation for Board meetings.
11. Help maintain Board records, meeting minutes, and compliance-related documentation as needed.
12. Support coordination of strategic events or visits involving the Principal and Board.
13. Document Management and Compliance
14. Maintain high-quality filing systems for official school records.
15. Ensure timely tracking of administrative deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

16. Degree in administration, secretarial studies, or a related field.
17. At least 2 years’ experience in a professional administrative role; experience in a school or international setting is a strong asset.
18. Fluent in English and Dutch (spoken and written); French is a plus.
19. Strong IT proficiency
20. Experience supporting senior leadership and handling confidential information.
