What are your responsibilities?
The product portfolio of Deceuninck includes a wide range of window and door systems, sliding systems, roller shutter boxes, terraces, cladding and all kinds of building profiles, this in
PVC, aluminium and composite materials.
For the Applications Engineering department we are looking for a Product Support Engineer. You will work on technical information, CAD & documentation of our product applications,
guidelines, manufacturing and installation processes. You will work at our Headquarter in Gits, in close collaboration with colleagues from the
Product department EU as well as other product team members working in our European sales regions. You will report to our Application Engineering manager Europe.
* You identify the needs and explore how technical information can be converted in documents & manuals.
* You create CAD drawings & descriptions in a standardized & transparent way for product presentations, manuals and guides, using tools like CAD & Adobe suite (Indesign)
* You explore how technical content can best be shared with the local product teams and
* the Deceuninck customers.
* You collaborate in a close cooperation with colleagues of the EU Product teams in Gits, Application Test Centre, Designers & Product managers, Field Technicians to fully
* understand how the products are processed & installed.
* You make visual representations, Renders of products, product applications and manufacturing processes.
* You are part of the technical helpdesk where you assist the local product teams for technical support. Supporting then with dedicated drawings, calculations, analyses, ...
* You have a close cooperation with the Product Software Team and support them to maintain the datasets & programming new profiles or systems
* You closely follow up on digital evolutions linked to technical documentation creation and
* sharing.
Who are we looking for?
* Technical background (bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent by experience)
* Having knowledge of the window, door, construction industry is a plus
* You are a fluent communicator.
* A good knowledge of English is a requirement. Knowledge of French or other languages (Dutch, German) is a plus.
* You have a critical attitude and are always looking for the 'why' of things.
* You work in a structured way and think process-wise.
* Ability to work under strict deadlines
* You are hands-on.
* You can work perfectly well independently and in a team.
* You have a sound knowledge of MSOffice, Adobe and CAD application
