CONTEXT
To support our client in Energy sector and based in Brussels, we are looking for a Medior Procurement Officer.
🧭 YOUR ROLE
You will handle various purchases of supplies and services within an industrial environment.
Your tasks include, among others:
* The full management of the tendering process, with your contribution varying according to the complexity of the files;
* The application of an appropriate negotiation strategy in order to find the most advantageous solution;
* The timely identification of purchasing needs from internal clients based on data analysis and regular contact;
* Ensuring sufficient market openness, on the one hand, by examining the internal request and describing it as accurately as possible, and on the other hand, by generating the necessary market interest in time;
* Updating the technical and commercial specifications according to the desired outcome;
* Managing current contracts during their validity period (claims, possible renegotiations, etc.) in consultation with internal clients;
* Defining and developing a vision regarding the future purchasing of certain categories of goods and services (cf. Purchasing Plan).
🎓 KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences, Applied Economic Sciences, or equivalent, and can demonstrate 3 years of professional experience, preferably in an industrial environment;
• You have experience in negotiations;
• Knowledge of public tendering procedures is an asset;
• Experience in technical purchasing is an asset;
• You have strong writing skills (you are comfortable with contractual texts);
• You demonstrate proactivity, assertiveness, diplomacy, and a willingness to find solutions;
• You have a team spirit combined with excellent organizational skills and good stress resistance;
• You are fluent in French and Dutch and have a good knowledge of English;
• You are proficient in MS Office and office tools. Your experience with a system such as SAP/COUPA enables you to manage purchases efficiently;
• You hold a category B driving license.
