We are looking for a Medior Citrix System Engineer to manage and support Windows and Citrix server environments. You will handle second-level support, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the stability and performance of the infrastructure within the Group Server Team Windows.
* Manage and maintain the Windows Server and Citrix environments on a daily basis.
* Provide second-level support, handling incidents and requests escalated by the helpdesk.
* Investigate and troubleshoot environmental and user-related issues to ensure system stability and performance.
* Monitor, maintain and optimize the Citrix infrastructure (Virtual Apps & Desktops, StoreFront, Workspace, Director, Studio, NetScaler).
* Collaborate with the Group Server Team Windows and other IT teams to ensure high availability and reliability of the platform.
* Contribute to documentation, procedures and operational improvements.
* Support maintenance activities, updates and improvements of the Windows and Citrix environments.
You have the following skills
* Proven experience managing and supporting Citrix environments, including Virtual Apps and Desktops Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Workspace App, Director, Studio, Profile Management and NetScaler (on-premises).
* Solid knowledge of Windows Server environments (2016–2025) and administration in enterprise infrastructures.
* Experience providing second-level support, handling incidents escalated by the helpdesk and investigating environment or user-related issues.
* Good understanding of networking and security principles.
* Experience with Active Directory administration.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
* Experience with monitoring and management tools such as Microsoft SCOM, Microsoft SCCM and PRTG.
* Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere ESX.
* Knowledge of PowerShell scripting (advanced knowledge is a plus).
* Experience with NetApp storage management (L1–L2).
* Familiarity with anti-malware and security solutions, including Trend Micro Deep Security, Scanmail, MailMarshall and TMCM.
* Citrix certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization (CCA-V) or Citrix Certified Associate – App Delivery and Security (CCA-AppDS) are considered a plus.
* Ability to quickly learn new tools, products and environments.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
* Ability to write procedures and technical documentation.
* Strong team player mindset with good communication skills.
* Good planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and maintain a customer-oriented mindset.
* Fluency in English, with French or Dutch as a native language; German is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license, car and mobile phone required.
* Strong sense of accountability and flexibility (not strictly a 9-to-5 role).
