Tribe Release Engineer (TRE)
to join a dynamic Agile environment focused on delivering seamless and innovative digital experiences. In this role, you will act as a central coordinator across multiple squads, ensuring efficient, high-quality releases while maintaining strong alignment between business and IT objectives.
Your Role
As a Tribe Release Engineer, you will be responsible for orchestrating end-to-end release management across a large-scale Agile setup. You will ensure that releases are predictable, well-coordinated, and aligned with strategic goals, while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Release Strategy & Planning
Define and maintain the overall release strategy in collaboration with leadership teams
Build and manage consolidated release plans across multiple squads
Coordinate release calendars and ensure alignment with stakeholders
Manage risks, dependencies, and priorities to ensure smooth delivery cycles
Deployment & Operational Excellence
Plan and oversee deployments across non-production and production environments
Coordinate closely with DevOps, QA, and development teams
Ensure stability and integrity of production environments with minimal disruption
Promote best practices in configuration and release management
Coaching & Leadership
Support and coach teams on release management processes and best practices
Encourage adoption of CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery principles
Guide squads in risk assessment, deployment planning, and validation
Act as a facilitator between technical teams and business stakeholders
Manage cross-team and external dependencies
Align release activities with business and regulatory expectations
Communicate progress, risks, and milestones clearly
Resolve conflicts and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases
Your Profile
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in Release Management, DevOps, or similar roles
Strong expertise in release and configuration management practices
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, Ansible, etc.)
Proven experience in large, complex IT environments and Agile frameworks
Strong coordination and organizational skills
Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
Proactive mindset with a strong focus on solutions and delivery
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Team-oriented with a coaching and mentoring approach
Resilient and adaptable to change
Languages
French and/or Dutch: Considered an asset
English: Essential
German: Asset
