Global clinical program strategy lead

SUMMARY

This position sits right at the heart of clinical development — where strategy meets execution. You’ll be leading indication-level programs, shaping clinical development plans, and translating scientific strategy into global operational delivery across Phase I–III and beyond.

You’ll work closely with medical and scientific leaders, helping define endpoints, timelines, and execution plans, while driving programs across multiple regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead indication-level clinical programs, translating development strategy into global operational execution plans
• Partner closely with medical and scientific teams to define endpoints, timelines, and study strategy
• Drive end-to-end clinical program delivery across Phase I–III and through to commercialisation
• Oversee global trial execution across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with development goals
• Act as a key cross-functional leader, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Contribute to clinical development plans (CDP) and target product profiles (TPP)
• Support regulatory interactions, including INDs and global submissions
• Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and delivery at pace
• Identify risks and proactively drive solutions to keep programs on track

QUALIFICATIONS

• Over 10 years of line management experience within Clinical Operations and biotech clinical leadership
• Proven strategic leadership in developing and executing global clinical development plans, including CDP and TPP
• Extensive experience collaborating with MDs and scientific teams to define endpoint strategies and translate them into operational delivery
• End-to-end program leadership across Phases I–III through to commercialisation, including contributions to approved products
• Strong experience with IND and global regulatory submissions
• Demonstrated capability to lead global programs across the US, EMEA, LATAM, and JAPAC regions
• Effective team leadership, with the ability to motivate, collaborate, and drive execution at pace
• Highly collaborative and flexible communicator, able to co-create solutions while maintaining a pragmatic, non-hierarchical approach
