NEXEO is currently looking for a Business Analyst – KYC Automation for a mission based in Brussels, with a hybrid working setup.
We are seeking an experienced consultant to join the Business Change & Monitoring team within a leading insurance company, working on KYC/AML optimization and automation initiatives in the Life Insurance domain.
Mission Overview
You will act as a Business Analyst (non-functional), focusing on business process analysis, regulatory interpretation, and KYC optimization.
This role is centered on bridging Business, Compliance, Operations, and IT, without involvement in technical specifications or system design.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
* Analyze and challenge existing KYC processes and data management practices
* Define and formalize business requirements in line with quality standards
* Identify process, data, and operational impacts related to KYC/AML regulations
* Translate business needs into conceptual requirements (no technical design)
* Ensure strong alignment between Business, Compliance, Operations, and IT
Testing (Business Acceptance)
* Prepare and execute business process and calculation tests
* Support UAT phases, ensuring solutions meet business expectations
Monitoring & Stakeholder Management
* Act as a key intermediary between business and IT teams
* Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, and deliverables
* Facilitate collaboration across IT, Operations, Business, Distribution, and Compliance
* Build strong and trust-based relationships with stakeholders
Profile Required
KYC / AML Expertise
* Strong understanding of KYC/AML regulations within financial services
* Experience with identity verification processes and risk-based approaches
Business Analysis
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst (insurance or banking)
* Strong knowledge of business/process analysis methodologies
* Experience in life insurance or financial services value chains
* Ability to analyze, map, and improve business processes
* Strong critical thinking and ability to challenge business requirements
* Ability to define high-level business requirements (non-technical)
IT & Data Awareness (Business-oriented)
* Understanding of data quality and data constraints
* Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and automation concepts (from a business perspective)
* Ability to act as a bridge between business and IT, not as a functional designer
Soft Skills
