About the Role
We are seeking an
Application Technical Lead (.NET)
for a high-impact freelance mission with our client in Brussels. This is a 10-month, full-time opportunity for a builder who thrives on technical leadership and hands-on development. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping, guiding, and elevating the technical quality of critical applications that drive real-world outcomes. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
* Take full technical ownership of application quality, architecture, and delivery
* Actively contribute to hands-on coding, feature development, and bug resolution
* Review code, implement unit testing, and uphold rigorous quality standards
* Design, maintain, and evolve scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems aligned with enterprise architecture
* Collaborate closely with functional experts, business analysts, architects, and infrastructure teams
* Prepare technical documentation and manage release processes
* Oversee infrastructure and configuration changes, ensuring seamless operations
* Optimize system performance and ensure adherence to security best practices (OWASP, OAuth, OpenID, etc.)
* Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
* Evaluate and integrate new technologies to drive innovation and align solutions with business objectives
Technical Skills
* Expert-level proficiency in .NET Core, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web API / ASP.NET Core Web API
* Confirmed experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Service Bus, Blazor, REST APIs, SQL, and Git
* Strong background in unit testing, security standards (OWASP, OAuth, OpenID), networking concepts, and server management
* Deep understanding of design patterns and best practices
