Our customer is a a leading international industrial organization seeking a strategic HR Director to join its leadership team at one of its key manufacturing sites in Belgium. This is a leadership opportunity to shape a high-impact HR strategy and foster a strong, inclusive workplace culture for a diverse workforce of over 800 employees across operations and management.
Job Description
As HR Director, you will be a strategic partner to site leadership, driving the people agenda and leading a passionate HR team. You'll play a pivotal role in strengthening employee engagement, advancing talent initiatives, and ensuring alignment with global standards and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Define and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and site priorities.

Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
*
Lead core HR programs across talent acquisition, development, performance, and employee relations.
*
Ensure full compliance with Belgian labor laws and international HR standards.
*
Act as a key advisor to management on workforce planning, union relations, and organizational development.
*
Lead, coach, and inspire an on-site HR team to deliver excellent service and support.
*
Monitor HR KPIs and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
*
Stay ahead of HR trends and innovations to help shape the future of work at the site.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
*
At least 8 years of experience in HR managerial roles, in large industrial or manufacturing settings
*
Proven experience working with unionized environments and managing complex employee relations
*
Strong leadership skills with people-first mindset
* Demonstrated track record in managing strategic projects
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
* Proven ability to navigate and influence within large matrix organizations
*
Analytical thinker with a track record of using data to influence decisions
*
Fluent in French and English
