Fully Funded PhD position in Probabilistic ML for Audio
PSI conducts fundamental research in image and audio processing with a focus on probabilistic machine learning. The project is aimed at developing effective representations for audio that generalise across cultures, languages and styles, and at creating methods for sequence modelling, tokenisation, uncertainty quantification and information retrieval applied to audio analysis.

* An ideal candidate has a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Artificial Intelligence, with solid foundations in probability theory and machine learning. Applicants with high grades, awards, and scientific publications are especially encouraged. Experience in speech or audio signal processing is a plus.
* Excellent understanding of mathematical concepts in probabilistic machine learning.
* Excellent programming skills.
* Excellent English language proficiency, with strong oral and written communication skills.
* The research will involve frequent interactions with both internal and external researchers.
