We are looking for a Private Satellite Communication Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of private satellite communication networks.
You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable deployment and maintenance of satellite-based communication infrastructure, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and high-performance network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain private satellite communication networks
* Configure and integrate network components, including satellite communication equipment and IP-based infrastructure
* Participate in network architecture design and technical planning activities
* Perform installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of satellite network systems
* Support integration of satellite communication systems with existing enterprise and telecom networks
* Conduct network performance monitoring and troubleshooting
* Participate in acceptance testing and validation of deployed solutions
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures
* Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders during rollout phases
* Ensure compliance with network security and operational standards
Technical Requirements
Mandatory Skills
* Experience in satellite communication systems (e.g., VSAT or satellite networks)
* Strong knowledge of: IP networking (LAN/WAN), Routing and switching technologies, Ethernet networks
* Experience with network design, deployment, and troubleshooting
* Knowledge of network testing and commissioning
* Ability to produce technical documentation
Preferred Skills
* Experience with telecom transport technologies such as: IP/MPLS, DWDM, SDH / PDH
* Knowledge of: VPN technologies, Firewalls, Network security concepts
* Familiarity with Network Management Systems (NMS)
* Experience working in telecommunication or satellite environments
Language Requirements
* English: Professional working proficiency
* French and/or Dutch: Considered an advantage
