Your role Join ourBrussels team asa Senior Data Governance Specialist,where you will focus on ensuring the integrity, security, and usability of our data assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks that align with organizational strategies and regulatory requirements. Expected to manage data quality, compliance, and privacy, you will collaborate with teams across various departments to establish data policies, standards, and best practices. In the short term, you will assess current data governance practices and contribute to improvements. Over time, you will lead initiatives to enhance data governance and support strategic decision-making. Main tasks Development and Implementation of Data Governance Frameworks: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks that ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with regulations like GDPR. Data Quality and Compliance Management: Oversee data quality initiatives and ensure adherence to data privacy and compliance standards. Manage data stewardship activities and establish data quality metrics. Collaboration and Policy Development: Work closely with various teams to define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices. Provide guidance and support on data management and governance issues. Your profile Over 5 years of experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, managing data quality, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR.Proficiency in quality management and data privacy practices. Extensive experience with data governance and metadata management tools. Strong understanding of data governance policies, standards, and best practices. Relevant certifications in data governance, data management, or compliance. Knowledge of data privacy regulations beyond GDPR. Familiarity with established data governance frameworks and methodologies. Experience with cloud platforms and their impact on data governance and management.
