Magics Technologies is a European fabless semiconductor company specializing in high-reliability and radiation-tolerant chips, designed for strategic industries including space, nuclear energy, aerospace, and defense markets. Our Time, Vision, Motion, and AI product families power mission-critical systems operating in the harshest environments — from 5G/6G communication satellites and fusion reactors to advanced robotics, autonomous systems, and next-generation space infrastructure. We design silicon for environments where failure is not an option .
We are seeking several Senior Analog/RF/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineers to lead the architecture and development of advanced integrated circuits for extreme-environment applications.
This is a senior technical role for an engineer who combines deep analog expertise with system-level thinking, architectural vision, and first-silicon accountability. You will define critical building blocks that enable reliable operation in radiation-heavy, safety-critical, and high-performance systems.
Key responsibilities:
Architect and design advanced analog/RF/mixed-signal IC blocks, including: Op-Amps, ADC/DAC, LDOs, DC/DC converters, Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), PAs, and Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs).
Translate system-level requirements into robust electrical specifications and scalable chip architectures.
Drive design decisions considering radiation tolerance, reliability, and yield.
Lead critical design reviews and mentor junior designers.
Collaborate closely with layout, system, verification, and test teams to ensure first-time-right silicon.
Oversee simulation strategy, corner analysis, Monte Carlo validation, and reliability verification.
Support silicon bring-up and hands-on lab characterization.
Contribute to process technology selection and long-term product roadmap decisions.
Continuously elevate design methodologies and technical standards within the organization.
Qualifications:
PhD or Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in analog/RF/mixed-signal IC design.
Demonstrated ownership of full chip development cycles — from architecture definition through silicon validation.
Proven expertise in several of the following: Op-Amps, ADC/DACs, DC/DC converters, LDOs, VCOs, PLLs, PAs.
Deep understanding of analog/RF design fundamentals and mixed-signal system integration.
Strong proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, or equivalent).
Experience with advanced CMOS/BiCMOS process technologies.
Strong architectural thinking and the ability to balance performance, robustness, power, and area.
Excellent analytical skills and a disciplined, detail-oriented design methodology.
Strong communication and technical leadership capabilities.
Solve engineering problems that go beyond commercial constraints, including radiation effects, long mission lifetimes, and zero-failure requirements.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with top-class engineers, shaping technologies that pushs the boundaries of what's possible.
Be part of a fast-growing deep-tech company where your work has strategic impact and your decisions influence our product roadmap.
Enjoy autonomy, trust, and the opportunity to shape the future of high-reliability space semiconductor technology.
If you are driven by technical excellence, motivated by mission-critical impact, and ready to lead the design of high-reliability analog and RF systems, we would like to speak with you.
