PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Director of Investor Relations (Europe) will join a global communications and investor relations team that serves an integral, cross-functional role at a fast-paced, global integrated immunology company. The role will report to the Vice President, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. We are seeking a Director of Investor Relations to lead our strategic engagement with the investment community in Europe. This role will support the development and execution of an investor relations strategy in Europe, and drive argenx's communications with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders in the region. The role will require an integrated partnership with the US IR colleagues, and collaboration across the broader corporate communications team, the argenx executive team and cross-functional teams including finance, R&D, discovery, legal and commercial. In addition, the role will contribute to the development of the Company’s Annual Report, including reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and corporate sustainability efforts as they relate to both internal and external business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the biotech sector and the ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders in the investment and biotech communities. The candidate should be a strong communicator able to develop a deep understanding of the company’s corporate strategy, science, pipeline, and financials. The role requires an entrepreneurial self-starter attitude and a strong work ethic with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment. Role and Responsibilities: · Develop and implement near-term and comprehensive long-term investor relations strategy with a focus on Europe and aligned with global investor relations strategy · Maintain broad-based knowledge of argenx’s research and development pipeline and business strategies to represent company to the investment community · Collaborate with R&D and discovery teams in Ghent office to integrate key messages from pipeline programs, including early-stage assets, into IR narrative · Serve as a primary liaison to investment community in Europe and additional ex-US regions, including Middle East and Australia · Develop and implement core IR materials, including corporate presentations, press releases, conference call scripts and Q&A documents · Lead and manage corporate participation at European investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and assorted investor and analyst meetings · Contribute to development of the Annual Report and ESG strategy in partnership with legal and finance teams Education, Experience and Qualifications · 10+ years’ IR experience or similar role in the biotech or pharma space · Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field · Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills · Experience working and leading in a global workplace, driving strong teamwork and collaboration · Strong track record of building relationships with investor and analyst community · Experience developing executive level communications and engaging directly with senior management with minimal oversight · Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) · Experience managing external agencies and budget · Candidates must have an excellent level of English communication skills, both verbal and written · Must exhibit argenx core values: innovation, excellence, empowerment, humility and co-creation · Willing to travel up to min. 30% of the time globall At argenx, all applicants are welcomed in an inclusive environment.
