This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
As a team member in Inland Shipping Chartering in Ghent, you will be responsible for the daily coordination of our transport assignments. To ensure smooth operations, you will work closely with all stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
1. Booking and following up on inland waterway transports
2. Preparing and offering quotations in close collaboration with various European Supply Chain teams
3. Drafting cargo documents
4. Maintaining relationships with both internal and external suppliers and customers
5. As a natural negotiator with strong social skills, you will negotiate daily with various parties, ranging from small inland shipping entrepreneurs to shipping companies. Customer focus, analytical thinking, and teamwork are part of your soft skills.
Qualifications
6. You have a master’s level of thinking
7. You are eager to learn; relevant experience in the sector is not required
8. You have excellent language skills and are verbally strong in Dutch, French, and English. German is a plus
9. You are communicative, solution-oriented, have a hands-on mentality, and value customer focus highly
10. You are ambitious and want to grow in your role
