Role: Network Engineer
Location: Ghent
* Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network appliances.
* Provide L2/L3 field support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.
* Execute network rollouts, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning activities.
* Perform structured cabling checks, rack & stack, patching, and labeling as per standards.
* Understanding of Cisco routing and SwitchingTCPIP fundamentals VLSMCIDR, QoS, IP Subnetting.Cabling copper fiber
* Diagnose and resolve network issues related to routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, ACLs, and firewalls.
* Troubleshoot connectivity issues in MPLS, Internet Leased Line (ILL), broadband, and VPN setups.
* Handle incidents within defined SLA/TAT, escalate to L3/vendor when required, and provide root cause analysis.
* Perform hardware replacement (RMA), device recovery, and failover testing on-site.
* Basic understanding of IDS/IPS, NAT, ACLs
Mandatory skills
Have experience of networking. Work with vendors on integration of solutions.
Desired skills
Basic routing with EIGRP, OSPF, VLAN Trucking, VLANs. Good understanding of Cisco Wireless network .
