About the Role
As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will design, build, and operate Azure cloud environments for our customers. You will contribute to solution design and architecture, working with clients, sales, and presales to translate requirements into scalable Azure and DevOps solutions. You shape landing zones, governance models, and best practices, and guide customers through their cloud modernization journeys.
Alongside this, you stay deeply hands-on:
* Automating infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/ARM/Terraform) and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
* Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
* Building, deploying, and running Azure environments under the motto: "You build it – You run it."
* Continuously improving performance, security, and reliability of customer solutions.
This combination of responsibilities allows you to apply your technical expertise while gaining architectural exposure and direct client interaction. You will split your time between working from our offices in Lochristi (near Ghent) and working from home.
Qualifications
You are an ideal candidate for this role if you have:
* 4–6 years of relevant experience in Azure Services and DevOps engineering.
* Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
* Azure Certification (AZ-104 and/or AZ-305).
* Strong communication skills.
* Solid knowledge of Azure PaaS and IaaS services, with the ability to design and implement solutions end-to-end.
* Strong skills in Azure networking (VNets, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
* Experience migrating and transforming existing systems to the cloud using Azure tools and best practices.
* Proficiency in Azure DevOps or GitHub, with experience using them for continuous integration, continuous delivery, pipelines, and Git version control.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/ARM, Terraform) and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
* Understanding of cloud governance, security, and Microsoft CAF/WAF principles.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex challenges and issues.
* Team player attitude and willingness to collaborate with others.
You will stand out from the crowd if you also have:
* Experience leading design workshops and translating business requirements into technical designs.
* Knowledge of REST APIs and application integration.
* Specialization in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration.
Certifications are not required, but they are highly appreciated if you have:
* DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) certification.
* Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
