Country Leader Cyber (sales & underwriting)
Spine, a recruitment firm specialized in financial services, is hiring for a fast‑growing player in the insurance industry. Our client is expanding into Belgium and is looking for a strategic, autonomous profile to lead local development efforts. This is a rare opportunity to build a market from the ground up, combining commercial outreach and technical expertise, all within a high‑growth, tech‑driven insurance environment.
Main Missions
* Business Development & Broker Engagement – Identify, approach, and build long‑term relationships with insurance brokers across Flanders. Position the offering as a go‑to solution in cyber and professional liability insurance. Organise and lead product demos, onboarding sessions, and regular check‑ins to drive adoption and broker loyalty.
* Cyber Risk Consulting & Underwriting – Lead "cyber calls" with brokers and clients to assess their risk exposure. Analyse cybersecurity maturity, provide tailored advice, and determine risk‑adequate premium levels. Collaborate closely with internal underwriting teams to structure customised offers.
* Market Launch Strategy – Play a key role in shaping the Belgian market strategy — from local pricing and risk appetite to product positioning and marketing activation. Share feedback from the field to adapt the product roadmap and improve broker experience.
* Cross‑functional Collaboration – Work with product, legal, and tech teams to localise the platform and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FSMA). Contribute to the set‑up of efficient processes across sales and underwriting, using tools like HubSpot.
* Brand Representation & Thought Leadership – Represent the company at industry events, broker conferences, and client meetings. Build visibility and credibility in the Belgian insurance ecosystem, particularly in the Flemish market.
Ideal Candidate
* Are fluent in Flemish (mandatory) and English; French is a plus.
* Have experience in insurance (ideally Cyber/PI) and are comfortable working with brokers.
* Are results‑driven, autonomous, and entrepreneurial.
* Understand the Belgian market and can operate independently while collaborating remotely.
