As part of their continued growth and expansion of services in Belgium, the organisation is seeking to appoint an Accounting Director to lead and further develop the accounting function.
Your profile :
* At least 10 years of solid experience in the same or similar role (preferably within a Big4 or Big10)
* At ease with international exposure (clients & team)
* Solid people management skills
* ITAA certification
* Great communication skills in English & French or English & Dutch
Your mission :
The tasks include, but are not limited to
* Provide leadership to the accounting department to ensure delivery against operational KPIs, through coaching, performance management, and team engagement.
* Review statutory filings, including VAT and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
* Ensure financial reporting is prepared in accordance with Belgian GAAP and/or IFRS, as applicable.
* Coordinate and follow up on client audits, acting as a key point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
* Manage client relationships at a senior level, setting expectations, addressing issues or escalations, and ensuring proactive and transparent communication.
* Support commercial activities through the preparation of fee proposals and service offering documentation.
