Because ZF Wind Power keeps on growing, we are looking for a Global Trade and Customs Manager (m/f/d) to join our Supply Chain Management team in our headquarters in Lommel.
What you can look forward to Global Trade and Customs Manager (m/f/d):
As a Global Trade and Customs Manager, you will play a key role in establishing and improving our Global trade and Customs processes and tools. This versatile role offers exposure to both the operational and strategic aspects.
1. Developing and implementing uniform global trade and customs processes that align local practices with national and international regulations.
2. Conducting export control risk analyses focusing on products, technologies, and markets.
3. Identifying changes in trade legislation and advising management on the impact and necessary actions.
4. Optimizing import duties through correct product classification (HS codes) and origin determination.
5. Advising on customs rules to mitigate financial and operational risks.
6. Setting up and managing internal control programs and manage reporting obligations.
7. Develop and maintain strong network and relationships with external advisors and relevant authorities.
8. Continuously striving for better export control and customs tools, including digitalization to enhance efficiency and compliance.
9. Actively collaborate with other departments (Purchasing, Sales, R&D, Accounting, Legal…) to improve compliance and reduce duties.
10. Conduct internal audits, prepare for external inspections, and ensure correct documentation.
Your profile as Global Trade and Customs Manager (m/f/d):
11. Bachelor or Master in Law, International Trade, Business Administration or comparable field of study
12. Experience with international Customs and Export control processes and regulations
13. Entrepreneurial thinking, team spirit and independent working style with strong communication skills
14. Digital mindset, analytical skills, quick comprehension and solution-oriented
15. Very good English skills
