The Role
We're a Leuven-based SaaS startup looking for an experienced Freelance HR Manager to keep our people setup running smoothly as we scale sustainably. You'll own HR end-to-end, working closely with our Office Manager (who handles payroll, contracts, and day-to-day HR ops).
This is a temporary role with lots of variety, perfect for a hands-on HR freelancer who enjoys autonomy and startups.
What You'll Do
* Run recruitment A–Z (from role definition to negotiation)
* Own Belgian HR and US compliance, policies, and best practices
* Set up and manage Belgian mobility budgets and related policies
* Support and improve performance management and feedback cycles
* Partner with managers on people topics and employee lifecycle moments
* Work with the Office Manager on payroll inputs, contracts, and HR admin
* Manage international HR topics, including:
o US employees (via PEO)
o US payroll & compliance (NY experience is a big plus)
o EOR employees (we work with )
What We're Looking For
* Freelance HR Manager / HRBP with startup or scale-up experience
* Strong knowledge of Belgian employment law
* Experience with implementing mobility budgets in Belgium
* Comfortable supporting US teams (PEO, payroll, compliance)
* Pragmatic, hands-on, and used to working independently
* Fluent in English and Dutch
* Able to be on site in Leuven at least 1 day/week

* SaaS or tech background
* Experience with NY employment regulation
