Job Description:
Based in our HQ in Belgium, the Finance Director takes responsibility for the Finance department of our European Sales Offices, covering both business units Biscuits & Bakery and Natural Foods.
* Leading a team of 3 Business Controllers and a Supply Chain Controller, ensuring operational excellence and personal growth.
* Responsible for accounting figures and reporting packages, including management & sales reportings, translation of customer agreements into SAP, and the SAP product costing process.
* Manage and drive realization of cash flow targets, prepare business cases for Capex projects, and work towards reduction of working capital and reaching working capital targets.
* Develop, monitor, and coordinate the planning & budget process with the General Manager and Country Managers; drive sales and opex budgets in the yearly budgeting process.
* Analyze figures proactively to identify business opportunities, improve profitability, and enhance efficiencies.
* Support local teams as a key-user for applications (SAP, BI, etc.), acting as a commercial/financial business partner to monitor financial performance and steer the business.
* Steer the S&OP process within the area by coordinating input from countries, identifying bottlenecks, and discussing solutions with stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements:
* A Master’s degree in a relevant economic or finance field, with at least 10 years of experience in financial accounting and business controlling.
* Experience in leading teams and fostering their growth.
* Experience in supply chain optimization projects and S&OP steering.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relations in a multicultural environment and with senior management.
* A critical mindset to understand and analyze business drivers behind the numbers.
* Team-oriented, proactive, and challenging attitude, working well in a collaborative culture.
* A hands-on approach with a strategic view to improve processes.
* Sharp analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
* Fluency in Dutch and English.
* Willingness to travel within Europe, about 15 trips of 2-3 days, visiting countries in the AREA SOF EU.
