Description:
Our client is an organization consisting of several parties, such as the City, AGSO, MPA, BZA, and the Police, who already work with SAP Financials (ECC). In addition, other parties within the Group (Vespa, I&I, etc.) currently use their own accounting software.
A generic migration process to SAP S4HANA is underway. The City of Antwerp, along with AGSO and MPA, have already been converted. Phase 2 is currently underway, with the Police and Fire Department scheduled to be migrated by January 1, 2026. Digipolis and Vespa will be next by January 1, 2027.
The implementation and technical execution of the migration will be handled by an external party. Central program management and training for the entire process will also be handled by an external party.
Digipolis has its own knowledge center and SAP team, whose primary tasks are providing input during the blueprint phase, participating in testing, implementing interface conversions, managing conversion activities, performing quality assurance, and so on. The team's expertise spans the SAP landscape.
Because the person will have additional responsibilities in FM, MM, and PS, we are looking for an expert with in-depth knowledge and experience of FM, MM, and PS. Their functional knowledge is enhanced by strong technical knowledge of ABAP to fully understand past developments and modifications. Therefore, the best way to find documentation is by walking through the code.
Your assignment:
The assignment consists of 2 parts:
* For the project: migration to SAP S4HANA for the members of the Antwerp Group, ensuring the quality of the delivered work. This is generally the case, but especially regarding monitoring critical points in FM, MM, and PS. With your combined skills and knowledge, you will be able to assist users during testing. You will also check and identify blockages in the code, whether in the code, data, or configuration.
* For application management: Users report various SAP issues (incidents/service requests) via a central ticketing system. These are distributed to the Digipolis SAP Team. You will work independently. This includes analyzing the problem, discussing it with the customer, resolving it, documenting it, and providing feedback. The tickets require both functional and technical knowledge of various modules (FM, MM, and PS) within SAP FI.
Who are we looking for?
1. You have experience with multiple SAP implementations, both SAP ECC and SAP S4HANA, allowing you to maintain a bird's-eye view.
2. You have in-depth knowledge of ABAP, allowing you to effortlessly delve into the code to explain its operation and suggest improvements.
3. At least 10 years of functional SAP experience is required. Sufficient experience with SAP S4HANA FI is also expected.
4. You have sufficient experience and interpersonal skills to spontaneously address users who are having problems with the tests. You will provide them with functional support and, if there is a more complex issue, delve deeper.
5. You will leverage your experience to assist other team members in solving their problems.
