Service description:
As a member of the Digital Division (Division D) of the group, the Solution Architect will:
* Support the OneSAP+ product clusters daily in defining architectures that are realizable by the different product teams.
* Help documenting the existing and future SAP landscape in a consistent way in line with the other architects (Business, Domain and Solution Architects).
* Be an advisor to other architecture disciplines in assessing (Architecture Trade-off) if SAP is a right solution
* Adopt and analyze constraints, non-functional and functional requirements
* Conduct appropriate decomposition within the specifics of the business capability resulting in relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended Architectural styles and patterns (based on Reference Architectures)
* Serve as the key link aligning all relevant stakeholders in the Product Organization, the Architecture team as well as the delivery team
* Deliver Architecture Designs in accordance with Elia Groups and guidelines
* Provide designs following your experience in integration design, application architecture, and available tools
* In the design lifecycle, following the governance structures (Design Boards) for gating and decision making (using techniques such as: ADR, ATAM)
About the Role:
Elia Group is looking for a talented and experienced SAP Solution Architect to support the OneSAP+ cluster team.
The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP solutions that meet business requirements and align with the Elia Groups strategic goals. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including business, IT, and Platform teams to ensure the successful delivery of SAP projects and able to create and execute an architectural blueprint.
What you will do
As a part of the SME architecture team on OneSAP+ Cluster perimeter, the SAP Solution architect is responsible to:
* Collaborate with business to understand their needs and translate them into
* technical solutions.
* Conduct system analysis and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Design / architect SAP solutions across SAP and non SAP systems to meet business needs and requirements.
* Specialize and provide technical oversight for integration between SAP solutions and existing business systems.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the SAP project team.
* Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of SAP solutions.
* Develop and maintain documentation for SAP solutions, processes and architecture
* standards.
* Support and ensure the quality of the implementation and integration of SAP modules and systems.
* Owner of SAP template, architecture documents and process, ensure documentation stays up to date.
* Deep understanding of Core SAP Modules and their integration points.
* Experience in different processes streams to identify all cross-modules end to end processes.
* Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
* Conduct and lead technical stream of RFPs when necessary.
What we will need
The consultant must meet the following requirements:
* At least 6 years of relevant experience in the position of Solution Architecture
* Experienced in applying IT Policies and Standards
* Performing solution trade-offs (ATAM)
* Familiar with Architecture Modelling Languages such as ArchiMate. An experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a big plus.
* At least 6 years of experience in/as:
* SAP Solution Architect or similar role. Handled assignments in transformation with lot of complexities towards integration and migrating legacy applications to a new solution.
* In the must have skills as defined in key skills synthesis (see below)
* Knowledge concerning SAP Integration Technologies, protocols, integration styles and patterns (process, data, event-based integration)
* Foundational knowledge on the LOB product offering / portfolio of SAP and how to utilize them best
* Foundational knowledge on SAP Development technologies and frameworks (not to develop, but to know the difference and being able to choose the right framework for the dedicated requirement).
* Strong understanding of business processes and how SAP solutions can support them.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Able to work autonomously and take initiative for engaging with people at all levels
* Always keen to learn new things, share your knowledge, embrace change and learn from past experiences. Drawing on a whiteboard to facilitate a debate comes natural to you.
* Hands-on mentality and result oriented.
* Have a strong capacity of abstraction and modelization
* Have an Agile mindset, working experience in an Agile environment is a plus.
* Able to work in a team and is always open for feedback from his/her peers

* The consultant will collaborate mainly with French, Dutch and German speaking team members. Knowledge of those 3 languages, especially German, is an added value.
Additional information:
* Location: Empereur
* Telework: Minimum 2 days/week onsite (Tuesday certainly onsite)
* Meeting and desk activities will be split between the two Elia Group locations Emperor Building in Brussels (main site), and the 50Hertz Netzquartier in Berlin (occasional traveling)
* In case of travels to Germany, Elia will cover all costs.
