Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Greater China Market Group Head. This pivotal role is responsible for leading and expanding the Greater China market team, with a primary emphasis on managing a high-performing group of Relationship Managers (RMs). The successful candidate will drive year-on-year growth in Assets Under Management (AUM), revenue, and team headcount, while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and client focus. As a Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping the bank's strategy in the Greater China region, leveraging market opportunities to enhance the bank's competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of Relationship Managers, providing strategic direction, performance coaching, and professional development to ensure high levels of engagement and productivity.
Drive aggressive yet sustainable growth in the team's AUM and revenue through targeted client acquisition, relationship deepening, and innovative wealth management strategies.
Expand the team size strategically by recruiting top-tier banking talent, ensuring alignment with the bank's growth objectives and cultural values.
Develop and execute market-specific business plans for Greater China, identifying opportunities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau to capitalize on economic trends and client needs.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product specialists, investment advisors, and compliance, to deliver comprehensive solutions and mitigate risks.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as AUM growth, revenue targets, client retention rates, and team expansion, reporting progress to senior leadership.
Represent the bank at industry events, client meetings, and regulatory discussions, building and maintaining strong networks within the Greater China financial ecosystem.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and internal policies, promoting a risk-aware environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CFP) is highly desirable.
Minimum 15+ years of experience in private banking or wealth management, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role managing teams in the Greater China market.
Proven track record of driving AUM and revenue growth, with demonstrated success in team expansion and talent management.
Deep understanding of the Greater China wealth management landscape, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and client preferences.
Experience in an international private banking environment, preferably with exposure to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical abilities to identify growth opportunities and execute plans effectively.
