We are entering a new and ambitious growth phase — transforming and rebranding our company to become the #2 player in Belgium, offering small businesses and merchants everything they need to get paid: terminals, acquiring, and integrated payment solutions.
We are looking for a hands-on and transformational Head of Sales to lead this next chapter. You’ll drive sales performance across three teams — Sales Flanders, Sales Wallonia, and Sales Backoffice/Partners — and play a pivotal role in shaping how we sell, lead, and grow.
Your Mission
Double our pace of new merchant acquisitions by reinventing how we sell — combining strong field presence, smart use of data, and sharp commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and grow three sales teams:
o Sales Flanders (5 reps + team lead)
o Sales Wallonia (4 reps + team lead)
o Sales Backoffice & Partners (2 people + team lead)
* Build a high-performance, accountable sales culture that balances in-person and remote selling.
* Coach and develop team leads and sales reps to raise commercial standards — from customer qualification to fast deal follow-up (average sales cycle <2 weeks).
* Drive growth in both net revenue and number of active merchants, while optimizing CAC and retention.
* Take ownership of sales operations and reporting — ensuring reliable visibility on pipeline, conversion, and performance.
* Design and launch partner & channel sales from scratch — exploring collaborations with trade associations, retail resellers, and accounting networks.
* Personally engage in major commercial opportunities and key negotiations when needed.
* Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations to ensure flawless lead-to-contract execution.
* Act as part of the leadership team, contributing to Keyware’s transformation and future growth story.
Your Profile
* Proven experience leading field sales teams in high-volume, low-ticket B2B markets (payments, telecom, utilities, or similar).
* Strong leadership and coaching abilities — able to energize a team and elevate performance.
* Bilingual Dutch/French, fluent in English for partner and supplier discussions.
* Hands-on, no-nonsense attitude — you don’t just manage, you make things happen.
* Commercially analytical — you understand how sales data links to business performance and use it to make decisions.
* Background or strong interest in merchant acquiring or POS/payments is a major plus.
* Thrives in a transforming environment — you prefer agility and impact over corporate complexity.
* Master’s degree or equivalent through experience required.
