Senior User Experience Design Specialist - SAP Concur TripIt

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help shape the future ofTripIt—creating simple, confident experiences across web and native mobile for people navigating the realities of travel. You’ll partner with a global, cross-functional team spanning research, product, and engineering, and you’ll occasionally supportConcurexperiences where the TripIt andConcurjourneys connect. With strong interaction design craft and systems thinking, you’ll connect the dots across touchpoints to deliver end-to-end experiences rooted in real user needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead design across the product lifecycle for TripIt—partnering with research, product management, and engineering to plan, iterate, and ship.
- Influence the product roadmap and raise the bar for design quality by advocating for improvements to our existing experiences.
- Translate customer needs into clear flows, information architecture, and low-to-high fidelity designs and prototypes (mobile and web).
- Collaborate with Design Systems and Accessibility partners to deliver consistent, inclusive experiences—and evolve the system when needed.
- Balance the ideal user experience with system realities by understanding product constraints, configurations, and technical tradeoffs.
- Build fluency across TripIt’s product areas to ensure thoughtful end-to-end journeys that may extend beyond your immediate scope.
- Use data and customer insights to inform decisions, evaluate outcomes, and champion a culture of evidence-based design.
- Stay current on UX and travel‑industry trends, sharing what you learned to help the team anticipate what’s next.
Requirements
- Portfolio is required for consideration.
- Solid proven experience in User Experience Design.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or other equivalent experience.
- Experience designing and prototyping in Figma.
- Demonstrated ability designing complex experiences.
- Strong interaction design skills: identifying user stories, creating user flows, and producing low-to-high fidelity designs.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience building products for native iOS and Android platforms.
Preferred
- Experience designing AI‑powered features and workflows, including comfort collaborating with data science/ML partners.
- Familiarity with prototyping and evaluating AI interactions (prompting, conversation design, human‑in‑the‑loop patterns) and applying responsible AI principles (privacy, bias, explainability) to UX decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise in travel-related design.
- Experience in a fast‑paced software development environment with an ability to execute against aggressive timelines.
- Excellent communication skills. Team player who seeks solutions to problems and can quickly translate ambiguity to clarity and action.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and ability to adhere to them in your deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to drive designs that achieve business results.
- Experience mentoring, leading, and recruiting UX designers.
- Proficiency working with designers and product teams across the globe.
