About the Role
A leading international construction and engineering contractor is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to support major data centre construction projects in Belgium.
Working closely with Project Managers and the wider EHS team, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with statutory requirements. You'll be hands-on across site activities, helping to embed a proactive safety culture while supporting high standards of environmental and occupational safety performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional looking to develop their experience within mission-critical, fast-paced construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the company's EHS policies to prevent injury, ill health, environmental harm, and damage
* Promote a proactive safety culture across construction sites
* Ensure compliance with local and statutory EHS requirements
* Carry out regular site safety inspections, audits, and reporting
* Track and ensure close‐out of corrective actions within agreed timescales
* Support accident and incident investigations, including reporting and follow-up actions
* Ensure all site operatives and subcontractors receive appropriate inductions
* Monitor welfare facilities, site setup, and statutory notice displays
* Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for suitability
* Ensure permit-to-work systems are correctly implemented
* Monitor COSHH compliance and environmental protection measures
Key Requirements
* Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
* NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
* Proven EHS experience within construction environments
* Knowledge of statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations
* Confident working with project teams and site management
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work across live, fast-track construction sites
