PCB Design Engineer - Leuven (Belgium) - Permanent PositionWe're currently recruiting a talented and experienced PCB Design Engineer. As a PCB Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for a variety of electronic devices and systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design, testing, and manufacturing of PCBs that meet the required specifications and standards.Key Responsibilities:PCB Design: Design and develop multilayer PCBs, considering factors such as layout, routing, signal integrity, power distribution, thermal management, and manufacturability.Schematic Capture: Create schematic diagrams using CAD tools, ensuring accurate representation of circuitry and connectivity.Component Selection: Work with engineering teams to select appropriate components for the PCB design, considering factors such as functionality, availability, cost, and reliability.Signal Integrity Analysis: Perform signal integrity analysis, including impedance matching, signal timing, and noise reduction techniques to ensure robust performance of high-speed digital and analog circuits.EMC/EMI Compliance: Design PCBs to comply with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) standards, minimizing interference and emissions.Prototype Development: Support the development of PCB prototypes, including layout debugging, prototype assembly, and testing.Collaboration: Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs into overall product architecture.Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including schematics, layout files, design guidelines, and design validation reports.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PCB design and manufacturing, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
