Senior business development manager - telco sector

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager in IT solutions with a strong background in telecommunications? We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial professional focused on both new customer acquisition and growing existing relationships through strategic account management and consultative selling.

Candidate profile

1. Degree in business, finance, marketing or technical studies, or equivalent
2. At least 5 years’ experience in selling enterprise IT solutions (ideally within telecoms or related sectors)
3. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, French, and Dutch
4. In-depth knowledge of the global telecommunications market
5. Strong initiative and proven ability to influence outcomes and drive decisions at senior levels
6. Proven consultative sales approach with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
7. Entrepreneurial spirit, able to work independently and as part of a wider team
8. Awareness of latest marketing and industry trends with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies for clients
9. Strong customer relationship management skills, with a focus on building trust and long-term partnerships
10. Skilled in negotiations, presentations, and solution-based selling

Your responsibilities

11. Develop and execute a proactive new customer acquisition strategy targeting telecommunications providers and related sectors
12. Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation through to deal closure, for both new and existing customers
13. Day-to-day account management of key accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and growth
14. Identify, develop, and follow up on new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market trends
15. Lead presentations, demos, and workshops with both prospective and existing customers using a consultative, value-focused approach
16. Monitor competitor activity and client developments to position Comarch solutions effectively
17. Drive and coordinate proposal preparation with internal stakeholders (pre-sales, R&D, implementation, support, etc.), ensuring timely delivery of high-quality offers
18. Lead commercial negotiations and support contract finalisation
